Phuket Butterfly Farm & Insect World

Located on the western side of Phuket Town, at Soi Paneang in the Ban Sam Kong area, and with more than 15 years of experience, this public getaway is the first of its kind in Thailand that in recent years has become one of the world’s leading butterfly gardens with more than six thousand butterflies a month and forty different species from all around Thailand.

Founded by Dr. Prasit Koysiripong in 1990 under the name ‘Phuket Butterfly and Aquarium,’ the garden is also a research center with endless educational possibilities that have a mission to provide more and more information about the life and preservation of butterflies and insects. Visitors will also find several ponds and streams in the Butterfly Garden and long stretches of greenery and flowering plants. And as far as the atmosphere of the place is kept humid artificially, you’ll feel as if you’re in a tropical rainforest. Admission fee to the farm is 300 baht for adults and 150 baht for kids under ten. The grounds are open daily between 9:00am and 5:00pm. All of this will happen around you, so get ready for a unique and memorable experience!

After your interesting tour in the farm, make sure to walk into the butterfly shop, where you will find a good collection of butterfly crafts and Thai artifacts to take home to your friends and families.

Saithip Butterfly Gardens Pattaya

This is the largest butterfly park in Asia and a unique ‘must see’ Pattaya attraction filled with spectacularly beautiful plants, trees and of course butterflies. The garden also features a small lake, a bee museum and an orchid farm situated next to the amazing garden. The Butterfly Garden is a chance to see Pattaya nature at its best and to be surrounded by hundreds of thousands of dancing butterflies.

The garden opens daily from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with the entry fee being 80 baht for adults and 40 baht for children.
